Work through the task
Format or minify JavaScript and CSS as text.
- Select both the language and the operation, then enter its source.
- Review the result and test exported code in its actual application. A formatter does not run the source, and minification does not sanitize it.
- Review the result before copying or downloading. Editing an input invalidates the previous result; keep an original if the transformation matters.
Example to check
The expression 2+3*4 keeps its arithmetic meaning after JavaScript formatting; CSS color and margin properties retain their values.
Limits and output behavior
Maximum 100,000 input characters and 1,000,000 output characters, with finite worker execution. Parse failures leave export unavailable. Keep the original source; comments and lexical layout can change.
Troubleshooting
Select the intended JavaScript/CSS language and operation, then correct the parser diagnostic. Reduce source that exceeds limits; exported code still needs testing in its actual application.
Questions
Does successful formatting prove that source is safe to execute?
No. Formatting/minification parse and rewrite text. They do not run, sanitize or certify that application code.
Input and privacy
Processing runs in this browser. Inputs are not saved automatically. An explicitly chosen local draft, where offered, is plaintext storage on this device. Downloaded files, clipboard contents and browser extensions have separate retention behavior.
