Work through the task
Read a quoted CSV table into JSON records while retaining cell text.
- Use a header row, commas and supported CSV quoting.
- Inspect leading zeros, quoted newlines and doubled quotes in the resulting records. No automatic number or date conversion is performed.
- Review the result before copying or downloading. Editing an input invalidates the previous result; keep an original if the transformation matters.
Example to check
id,name followed by 007,"Lin, Mei" becomes a record with id "007" and name "Lin, Mei".
Limits and output behavior
Maximum 100,000 source characters. Tables require unique nonempty headers, a data row and consistent field counts. Cells remain strings unless an offered scalar mode is explicitly selected. Quoting does not neutralize spreadsheet formulas; import untrusted data as text.
Troubleshooting
Check quoting, doubled quotes, unique nonempty headers and consistent row widths. Include a data row; an empty or header-only table is rejected.
Questions
Does a cell containing 007 become the number7?
No. Imported cells remain strings, including leading zeros and text such as true. No automatic date/number conversion is performed.
Input and privacy
Processing runs in this browser. Inputs are not saved automatically. An explicitly chosen local draft, where offered, is plaintext storage on this device. Downloaded files, clipboard contents and browser extensions have separate retention behavior.
