Work through the task
Convert Fahrenheit to Celsius with the named unit definitions.
- Enter the amount in Fahrenheit; check the selected direction before running.
- For this direction, subtract 32, then multiply by 5/9. Read a decimal result in Celsius.
- Review the result before copying or downloading. Editing an input invalidates the previous result; keep an original if the transformation matters.
Example to check
32 Fahrenheit → 0 Celsius.
Limits and output behavior
Use finite values within the bounds shown by the controls. This calculator uses floating-point arithmetic and rounded display values; an exported decimal is not a promise of exact accounting precision. Absolute-zero checks apply.
Troubleshooting
Check the named direction and preselected units on Fahrenheit to Celsius (°F to °C) Converter. Enter a finite decimal quantity; a blank, unsupported or out-of-range value must be corrected before rerunning.
Questions
Does this apply the same rule to a temperature difference?
The form converts absolute temperatures with an offset: 0 Celsius becomes 32 Fahrenheit. A temperature difference uses a different interpretation; it is not inferred from this absolute-temperature operation.
