Inert HTML layout preview

Inspect a sanitized HTML layout without executing its scripts or resources.

Input

0 UTF-16 code units

Optional local draft

Saving stores a plaintext draft in this browser on this device. Do not save secrets or use this on a shared device. Nothing is saved or loaded automatically. Reset does not delete a saved draft; use Delete local draft.

Output

Work through the task

Inspect a restricted HTML layout without scripts, forms or network resources.

  1. Paste HTML and choose Preview inert HTML.
  2. Read the sandbox preview together with the retained source output. Removed elements and attributes make this an intentionally incomplete rendering.
  3. Review the result before copying or downloading. Editing an input invalidates the previous result; keep an original if the transformation matters.

Example to check

A paragraph containing Safe, a script and an image resource previews Safe without running the script or fetching the image.

Limits and output behavior

Maximum 100,000 input characters, 10,000 markup tokens and 40 nesting levels. Structural checking is a bounded explicit-tag subset, not full HTML5 validation or browser recovery. Static Pug excludes code, includes, interpolation, mixins and template control flow. Do not treat this restricted preview as a security guarantee for reusing the original HTML elsewhere.

Troubleshooting

If content is absent, check whether it is an intentionally removed script, form, resource or unsupported attribute. Keep the source and inspect the restricted preview’s limits.

Questions

Will an image URL or script run in this preview?

No. The supported preview removes active/network resources and runs in an empty sandbox. It is deliberately incomplete rendering.

Input and privacy

Processing runs in this browser. Inputs are not saved automatically. An explicitly chosen local draft, where offered, is plaintext storage on this device. Downloaded files, clipboard contents and browser extensions have separate retention behavior.
