Work through the task
Create genuine PDF output from a supported image file after checking its actual contents.
- Choose one local supported image file. A filename or MIME label does not override the detected format.
- Choose page size, orientation and fit, then create the single-page document.
- Check the displayed dimensions and download explicitly. Cancel stops a pending operation; Reset clears the selected file and result.
Example to check
A 32 × 24 image produces one PDF page containing that image. A PDF is a document, not a renamed raster file.
Limits and output behavior
Input is limited to 16 MiB; output to 64 MiB, with a 256 MiB estimated resource budget and a finite 30-second operation deadline. The applicable pixel ceiling is 6 million pixels; other format, dimension and memory checks can reject a file earlier. HEIC fallback/TIFF and AVIF encoding have specialized limits. BMP can reach its byte ceiling before its pixel ceiling. Supported orientation is applied once. Animation, metadata and color-profile fidelity are not promised. Page placement and fit do not add links, scripts or annotations.
Troubleshooting
If Image to PDF Converter rejects a file, inspect its detected content and dimensions rather than renaming the suffix. Corrupt/unsupported content, pixel/memory limits and format-specific restrictions can reject an input below 16 MiB. Keep the original and retry with a supported smaller file.
Questions
Does changing a filename to .pdf perform this conversion?
No. This route decodes supported image content and creates genuine PDF output. The result is a single-page PDF containing a raster, not a renamed image.
Input and privacy
Processing runs in this browser. Inputs are not saved automatically. An explicitly chosen local draft, where offered, is plaintext storage on this device. Downloaded files, clipboard contents and browser extensions have separate retention behavior.
