Work through the task
Translate a deliberately static Pug subset to HTML.
- Use literal tag names, consistent space indentation and supported literal quoted attributes.
- Review the resulting markup and whitespace. Expressions, shorthand, interpolation and includes do not execute.
- Review the result before copying or downloading. Editing an input invalidates the previous result; keep an original if the transformation matters.
Example to check
main, then an indented h1 Hello and p Ready, produces a main element containing those two children.
Limits and output behavior
Maximum 100,000 input characters, 10,000 markup tokens and 40 nesting levels. Structural checking is a bounded explicit-tag subset, not full HTML5 validation or browser recovery. Static Pug excludes code, includes, interpolation, mixins and template control flow. This is not a general Pug compiler.
Troubleshooting
Use consistent space indentation, literal supported tags and quoted literal attributes. Remove code, interpolation, shorthand/includes and unsupported template control flow.
Questions
Can this run a general Pug template?
No. It translates a static subset only. Expressions, mixins, includes and general template execution are excluded.
Input and privacy
Processing runs in this browser. Inputs are not saved automatically. An explicitly chosen local draft, where offered, is plaintext storage on this device. Downloaded files, clipboard contents and browser extensions have separate retention behavior.
