Work through the task
Create clearly synthetic records with bounded fields and row counts.
- Choose a count, output format, invented prefix/choices and optional seed.
- Keep supplied text fictional: it is repeated in the output. A seed makes the supported fixture sequence repeatable, not cryptographically secure.
- Review the result before copying or downloading. Editing an input invalidates the previous result; keep an original if the transformation matters.
Example to check
Prefix item- and a count of 1 produces a label item-0001 with the documented fixed record fields.
Limits and output behavior
Supported count is 1–1,000; field and output limits apply. Seeded identifiers are dummy values, with no production uniqueness guarantee. CSV protection can alter formula-like text; inspect the warning and import untrusted data as text.
Troubleshooting
Use fictional fields and a count 1–1,000. Check field/output limits and any CSV formula-protection warning; reduce the record count when output is too large.
Questions
Does a seed produce secure or production-unique identifiers?
No. Seeded values are repeatable test data. The deterministic fixture sequence is not a cryptographic uniqueness or authentication guarantee.
