Work through the task
Express one duration in another supported unit while keeping its meaning explicit.
- Choose hours to minutes, or the precise pair required for your task.
- Enter a decimal quantity and run the conversion. This converts elapsed durations. It does not select a timezone or turn a duration into a calendar date.
- Review the result before copying or downloading. Editing an input invalidates the previous result; keep an original if the transformation matters.
Example to check
1 hour becomes 60 minutes
Limits and output behavior
Use finite values within the bounds shown by the controls. This calculator uses floating-point arithmetic and rounded display values; an exported decimal is not a promise of exact accounting precision. This converts elapsed durations. It does not select a timezone or turn a duration into a calendar date.
Troubleshooting
Check both selected units and use a finite decimal value within the stated bounds. Correct a missing/invalid field before rerunning; a displayed rounded value does not add precision to the input.
Questions
Does converting hours select a calendar date or timezone?
No. It converts fixed supported elapsed-duration units. Calendar date/time operations are separate.
